Art History
The Art History major promotes an understanding of art across cultures and geographic boundaries. Using historical art terminology, students are taught to look at a work of art with an appreciation of process, and to speak about historical, social and aesthetic functions.Taking studio courses such as drawing and fundamentals of design will also give you a greater understanding of the work of art. Once you earn a bachelor’s degree in this major, you might go into a career such as museum curator, art critic, writer, or teacher. Most CSU campuses will accept the AA-T in Art History as preparation for a bachelor’s degree in Art History.
